These terms are the agreement between you and Matside LLC ("Matside", "we") for using the Matside app and website. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Matside, you agree to these terms. If you set up or manage a team for a club, school or other organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. Who can use Matside
- Adults 18 and over can create an account.
- Teens 13 to 17 can create their own account. It stays limited until a parent or guardian links to it.
- Children under 13 can't have an account until verified parental consent is available.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's use of Matside.
3. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password private, and don't share your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@matside.net if you think someone else is using it.
4. Teams and roles
A team's owner and managers decide who joins, what role each person has, and how the team uses Matside. Decisions about groups, levels, promotions and playing time belong to the team, not to Matside. Teams are responsible for collecting any waivers or consents their members must give.
5. Paying your team
- Dues, fees and registrations go to the team through its own Square account. The team is the seller and sets its own prices and refund policy.
- A service fee is added at checkout and shown before you pay. It is Matside's 1% + $0.10, plus card processing.
- Ask your team for refunds; team managers issue them in the app. When a payment is refunded, the service fee on it is refunded too. If one checkout paid for several charges together, refunding one of those charges returns its price, and the checkout's single service fee is not refunded.
- Square's terms also apply to your payment.
6. Team plans
A team's owner chooses a plan for the team. Both plans include unlimited members. The Team plan is $300 per year. The Club plan is $500 per year and adds features such as the season planner. Each plan starts with a 14-day free trial; you add a card when you start it, and you're charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Plans renew automatically each year. If a renewal payment fails, the team has one week to update its card before it's restricted. If the payment at the end of the trial fails, the team is restricted right away. Add-ons are charged when you add them, even during the free trial.
7. Matside Pro and Matside Lite
Matside Pro unlocks the premium technique video library linked to the athlete progression levels for $14.99 per month. Matside Lite unlocks the in-app video player with the YouTube-linked technique video library for $1.99 per month. Each renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your App Store, Google Play or web account settings, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow the store's policy.
8. Your content
You own what you post: messages, photos, journal entries, notes and techniques. You give Matside permission to store and show it to the people you share it with, only so we can run the service. You're responsible for having the rights to what you post. Only post photos or videos of a minor with their parent or guardian's permission.
9. Acceptable use
Matside is for running youth wrestling programs. Don't use it to:
- harass, bully, threaten or demean anyone;
- post sexual, violent or hateful content;
- contact a minor for anything unrelated to the team, or try to get around the protections for minors;
- pretend to be someone else, or share someone else's private information;
- send spam or advertising;
- access accounts or data that aren't yours, scrape or copy the service, or interfere with how it works;
- break the law.
Report safety concerns to safety@matside.net. If there is immediate danger, call 911 first.
10. Safety on and off the mat
Matside is a communication and organization tool. We don't screen coaches, staff or volunteers. Background checks and safe-sport training are the team's responsibility, as its governing body requires.
Wrestling carries a risk of injury. Technique content in Matside is for learning under qualified supervision; it isn't a substitute for coaching, medical advice or a doctor's clearance.
11. Matside's app and content
The Matside app, website, name and logo belong to Matside. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Matside as these terms allow. Some technique videos are hosted by YouTube, and its terms apply to those videos.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Matside at any time and ask us to delete your account at privacy@matside.net. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Where it's safe and lawful, we'll tell you why.
13. Disclaimers and limits
Matside is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, Matside isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid Matside in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
You agree to cover Matside's reasonable costs if a claim against us arises from content you posted or your breaking these terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute will be handled in the state courts of Ingham County, Michigan, or the federal courts for the Western District of Michigan, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Matside after that means you accept the change.
